Authentic German Live Music

The German Connection Band consists of 4 members. The band was founded in Charleston, South Carolina in 2002. They have been performing at Octoberfests, Corporate events, Fairs, Cultural gatherings, Festivals and Parties of all kinds.

Before coming to the Charleston area in the 1980’s as permanent residents of the U.S. they all have had many years of music experience through their respective German hometown bands.

The members are from the southern part of Germany (Bavaria) and are therefore able to perform all songs in the original German language and even southern dialects.

The band also performs in traditional Bavarian style clothing.

The entertainment repertoire has a wide range of Polkas – Waltzes – German folk songs and Evergreens from the 50’s and 60’s.

Translating or composing new “English” texts to already famous German beer songs gives the audience of both languages a welcome chance to sing along and sway with the rhythm.

Group participation during the chicken dance and polonaise, (snake dance) is encouraged and always fun for all ages.
